The Goods: Materials, Fit & Care

what we use & why it matters

the sunday sack is made from a single material, chosen with intention. no shortcuts, no synthetic blends. here's what you're actually holding.

the material

premium split grain suede

we use a warm tan and cream suede, the kind that stalls clean, lands quiet, and only gets better with time. suede is the traditional choice for serious players because of the grip it offers and the way it breaks in to your foot's patterns. by the end of a summer, your sack will look like it's been earned. because it has.

  • texture: soft nap with natural variation: no two sacks are identical
  • weight: 2.5oz, sized to sit comfortably in any pocket
  • construction: twelve hand-stitched panels, tight and durable
  • fill: sand fill for a soft, weighted feel with natural feedback

the fit & feel

the sack is round, palm-sized, and weighted for flow play as much as freestyle. it's not too light (floaty and hard to control) and not too heavy (aggressive and tiring). 2.5oz is the sweet spot.

it fits in your front pocket, your hoodie pocket, your bag. the suede grips your shoes without sticking. it drops predictably and stalls naturally on flat surfaces... shoe tops, forearms, knees.

care & keeping

suede is durable, but it's not indestructible. a little attention goes a long way.

everyday stuff

  • let it dry naturally if it gets wet,  don't force-dry with heat
  • brush off dirt with a dry soft-bristle brush or an old toothbrush
  • store it somewhere it can breathe, not crumpled at the bottom of a bag

what to avoid

  • don't machine wash or submerge in water: the fill can clump and the seams can weaken
  • keep it away from direct sunlight for long periods... suede fades and dries out
  • avoid harsh chemicals or suede sprays not specifically formulated for the material

what's normal

the nap will flatten in high-contact spots, that's the sack conforming to you, not breaking down. the color will deepen with use. grass stains, chalk dust, dirt: these are marks of a sack that's been played. we consider that a feature.
